Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 July 2026
1. What Kirava is
Kirava is a marketplace platform that connects customers in Nigeria with independent beauty service providers — hairstylists, makeup artists, nail technicians, barbers, spa professionals, and similar businesses. Kirava operates the platform that makes it possible to discover providers, view their services, and request appointments. Kirava is not itself a beauty salon, stylist, or service provider.
2. Accounts
You need a Kirava account to book an appointment or to list your services as a provider. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your account access secure. Kirava may use a third-party identity provider to handle sign-in; your account on Kirava is tied to that identity.
3. Customer responsibilities
As a customer using Kirava, you agree to:
- Provide accurate contact details (including your WhatsApp number) when booking.
- Show up for confirmed appointments, or cancel or reschedule with reasonable notice.
- Communicate respectfully with providers.
- Only leave a review for an appointment you actually completed through Kirava.
4. Provider responsibilities
As a provider using Kirava, you agree to:
- Keep your business name, contact details, location, and category accurate and up to date.
- List services and prices that accurately reflect what you offer and charge.
- Keep your availability accurate, so customers can only request times you can actually take.
- Only upload portfolio photos and videos that you own or have the right to use, and that accurately represent your own work.
- Confirm or decline booking requests in good time, and honour appointments you confirm.
- Communicate respectfully with customers.
5. How bookings work
When a customer requests an appointment, the booking is created as pending. The provider then reviews the request and either confirmsor declines it. A booking only becomes a confirmed appointment once the provider accepts it. Either the customer or the provider can reschedule or cancel a booking before the appointment takes place, subject to the provider's stated availability. Kirava does not guarantee that any booking request will be accepted.
6. Communication between customers and providers
Kirava may facilitate communication between a customer and provider about a specific booking, including outside the app (for example, over WhatsApp). Kirava is not a party to that communication and is not responsible for what either side says or agrees to outside of what's recorded on the platform.
7. Reviews
Customers may leave a rating and review for a provider only after a booking with that provider has been marked completed on Kirava. Reviews must reflect a genuine experience with that appointment. Kirava may remove reviews that violate these Terms.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Provide false information about yourself, your services, or your availability.
- Use Kirava to harass, threaten, or defraud another user.
- Attempt to circumvent, disrupt, or interfere with how Kirava operates.
- Post content you don't have the right to post, including portfolio media.
- Use Kirava for any purpose outside of legitimate beauty-service bookings.
Kirava may restrict, suspend, or remove an account that violates these Terms, including removing a provider's profile from search and discovery.
9. Provider membership
A provider profile must be published before it appears in Kirava search and discovery. As part of Kirava's early launch, the first providers to publish their profile qualify for free Founding Providermembership for a limited period. After a provider's Founding Provider period, or once that programme's capacity is reached, continued publication on Kirava is expected to require a paid provider subscription. Kirava has not yet set the pricing or plan details for that subscription, and will communicate them before they apply to any provider.
10. What Kirava does not do
Kirava does not currently process payment for bookings, hold customer funds, provide escrow, pay providers on Kirava's behalf, process refunds, or manage payment disputes. Any payment for a service is a matter between the customer and the provider directly, outside of Kirava. Kirava does not guarantee the quality, safety, or outcome of any service booked through the platform, and does not employ providers — every provider on Kirava is an independent business using the platform to reach customers, not a Kirava employee or contractor.
11. Limitations
Kirava is provided as a marketplace platform on an "as available" basis. Kirava does not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times, and is not responsible for disputes between customers and providers beyond what's reasonably within Kirava's control as the platform operator.
12. Changes to these Terms
Kirava may update these Terms as the platform develops. If changes are significant, Kirava will make reasonable efforts to let users know. Continuing to use Kirava after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
13. Contact
If you have questions about these Terms, you can reach Kirava Support from within the app.
14. Company information
Kirava is operated by Kirava Technologies (RC 9753434), registered in Nigeria at Chevron Lekki, Lagos.
